A Plumbing Service Built on Honest Work
Lancar Bumi started with the idea that home plumbing should be straightforward — fixed pricing, clear scope, and proper testing before we leave.

The Story Behind Lancar Bumi
Lancar Bumi was set up by a small group of working plumbers in Kuala Lumpur who kept hearing the same complaint from homeowners: nobody told them what the job would cost until it was already done. That felt wrong, and we thought there was a better way to operate.
We put pricing on paper first — three service types, three fixed rates, no call-out fees layered on top. Every job ends with a flow test, which means we check that the work actually performs before we pack up. It's a small thing, but it matters when you're counting on a tap to work in the morning.
We cover Kuala Lumpur and the surrounding areas, with most of our work centred on Setapak, Wangsa Maju, and Gombak. We know the piping in both older terraces and newer condominiums, and we adjust accordingly.
Our Mission
To make home plumbing work in Kuala Lumpur something homeowners can plan for — with prices they know in advance and results they can see before the plumber leaves.
How We Operate
We take appointments Monday through Saturday. We confirm availability before the visit, arrive within the agreed window, and run a proper completion check on every job — not a quick visual glance.
Our Commitment
The price quoted is the price charged — provided the scope of work matches what was described. If we find something unexpected, we stop and explain before continuing.
· The Team ·
The People on Your Doorstep
Our team is small on purpose — it means better consistency and the same familiar faces on repeat visits.
Hafiz bin Ruslan
Lead Plumber
Hafiz handles most of the tap and fitting replacements. He's been working in residential plumbing across KL for over a decade and knows when a fitting can be salvaged and when it needs to go.
Norzaini binti Azhar
Scheduling & Client Contact
Norzaini manages bookings and responds to all enquiries. She ensures the visit window is communicated clearly and follows up once a job is completed to confirm everything went smoothly.
Syafiq bin Mahmud
Plumber — Drain & Bathroom
Syafiq specialises in drain clearing and bathroom fixture work. He runs the two-bathroom refresh visits and handles most of the trap replacement jobs.

How We Keep Quality Consistent
Every visit follows the same steps — from preparation through to the completion test.
Pre-Work Scope Check
Before any fitting is touched, we check the existing setup — supply line condition, shutoff valve function, and surface state. If something needs clarifying, we do it before starting.
Shutoff Before Work Begins
Water supply is shut off at the correct isolator or mains point before any component is opened. We verify the shutoff is working, not assumed.
Surface Protection
Cabinets, tiles, and surrounding surfaces are covered or protected during work. We clean the immediate work area before leaving and remove all replaced materials.
Flow Test on Completion
Hot and cold flow is tested at the newly fitted fixture before we consider a job done. We also check for any seeping at connection points under normal supply pressure.
Scope Change Communication
If something found during the job changes what's needed, we pause and explain before proceeding. No additional work is done without the homeowner's agreement.
Payment After Confirmation
Payment is collected after the homeowner has confirmed the work is complete and in order — not at the start or midway through the job.

Practical Plumbing Knowledge for KL Homes
Residential plumbing in Kuala Lumpur varies quite a bit depending on when a building was put up. Older terrace houses along areas like Setapak and Wangsa Maju often have galvanised steel supply lines that have narrowed with sediment build-up over the years. Newer condominiums use CPVC or flexible corrugated tubing in the wet areas. Our team is familiar with both and brings the right fittings for the job type.
Tap replacement sounds simple, but it involves checking whether the deck drilling matches the new fitting, confirming supply line thread compatibility, and making sure the sealing compound suits the surface material — ceramic, stone, or acrylic. These are the steps that prevent a drip from reappearing a week after a new tap is fitted.
For drain and trap work, the key variable is the depth of the trap's seal. A trap that holds a shallow water seal is more likely to allow drain odours back into the room. When we replace a trap, we choose one appropriate for the sink height and plumbing configuration, not just the closest available size. This is the sort of attention that makes the difference between a job that holds up and one that needs revisiting.
